The Managed Service Model, often referred to as business process outsourcing, goes beyond the ASP model to extend management of the distribution network by combining the online order process with management of a dealer/distributor online network and a revenue based financial model. Under this model, a partnership is created with the Supplier to provide a fully managed online distribution channel through an existing or new distributor network. The network is completely managed by a joint venture entity with a wholesale distribution contract with the Supplier; thereby reducing the complexity of managing invoicing and credit relationships at the Supplier level.
